Skanska to build shopping center in Oslo for NOK 920 M, about SEK 1.1 billion Skanska has been awarded a contract by KLP Eiendom for a environmentally responsible shopping center at Fornebu in Oslo, Norway. The contract value is NOK 920 M, approximately SEK 1.1 billion, which is included in order bookings for Skanska Norway for the second quarter of 2012. The construction project is the first of its kind to be certified in compliance with BREEAM NOR's highest level, Outstanding. In addition to the shopping center, the project also includes a 36,000 square meter garage, 2,500 square meters of office space and four residential blocks with 78 apartments. Furthermore, 2,000 square meters of solar panels will be built on the roof.
Construction will start in September 2012 and the shopping center is expected to be ready for handover in September 2014. The apartments will be completed in March 2015.
